Rotary Club of Calcutta Old City in association with Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences is all set to host “DRIVE HRIDAYA ” Season 3, a grand fundraising Treasure hunt car rally. The event is going to be held at Spring Club on the 19 of January 2019,7AM onward. Drive Hridaya Season 3 is a Family Fun Car Rally for a Treasure Hunt. The event will have Fun activities for children and other participants, such as Music, Entertainment, etc. This year, it has two categories of the rally: 1. TSD: For the skilled and experts only. It will be of «Time Speed Distance » and thus requires only expert registration. 2. Treasure Hunt : For the regular riders ; a treasure hunt. This year we also welcome & quot;Pink Riders & quot;, the complete pack of female riders. A group of women riders, including the driver will fall under the category Pink Rider in Treasure Hunt. This noble cause has been supported by the big shots of both Bollywood and Tollywood and the social figures. This year the great personalities, such as MIR Afsar Ali and Riddhi Sen are standing by. ‘HRIDAYA’ a project for the treatment of children with Heart Ailments, in association with Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences (Unit of Narayana Hrudalaya). It is Rotary Club of Calcutta Old City, a club 27 years old along with Dr. Biswajit Bandyopadhyay of Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences who has been associated with them since inception and under whose care these children have got second life, have worked together to fundraise for this flagship project. Malnutrition is a very common problem in children with symptomatic CHD. 78,000 infants & children, die of congenital heart diseases in India every year, which is nearly 15.1% of new born babies every year. Their past initiative has yielded great response and would like to point a few. They had started their fundraising back in 28thmay 2017 with a musical night where celebrities like Anindya
Chatterjee,Haimanti Sukla, Rituparna Sengupta, Jojo, Anweshaa, Aditi Munshi and others have endorsed their support for the fundraising. The second successful initiative was a treasure hunt car rally on the 21st Jan 2018 at Ordinance club where people from the Army, celebrities, and business houses had lend their support immensely. The third initiative was on 26ThAugust 2018, AT NAZRUL MANCHA called HRIDAYA RETRO MELODIES where various artists of SA RE GA MA PA fame, along with MR ANANDJI VIRJI SHAH, who was given The LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD. Unishe Kuri celebrated Raghab Chatterjee’s 20 years in music industry at Kala Mandir. Till date, they have successfully operated and cured around 41 children and aiming for 50+ by the end of this year. For with congenital heart diseases have already been successfully treated with the help of this fund and are now on the road to recovery. They are expecting that they would be able to raise fund for another 50 children.
